This does give an opportunity for a little bit of spring cleaning.
Also, it gives an unprecedented opportunity to create a BOL archives, for select topics of importance and worth.
I'd be willing to help out with an archives, Kath, or work on it myself. I'll also volunteer just to help with the normal recovery, if wanted.

And as for the hacker and the fixed bug... he'll find another if he tries. And, while I won't really be taking part in it as it isn't my war, I will watch from the sidelines with a slight sense of humor. I find this person entertaining.

It's that snobbish profile that hardcore"sometimes fundies"superhomeschoolers nearly always have for public schoolers. I had to be around a lot of superegos(see freud) at a church we used to go to that were crazyer than most bolers, so I know what I'm talking about.

You know, I have to confess, I did laugh when I saw the hack for the first time. I find the persistent vandalism (destruction of file structure etc.) much more disturbing than defacement of the front page (which can be rectified in a few seconds if the site architecture is intact).
But then again, you all know how hard it is to offend me.

You can tell the hacker wasn't a BOLer, if they really went through the trouble to delete topics in the important information forum they could have easily deleted the 126 page christendom thread wich is nearly as old as I am.
